Thanks to LY, we ended up in Paulaner Brauhaus, situated opposite Suntec City. It was an evening of good company and excellent food. A great deal of the evening was spent discussing about reeds, oboe, church and God, and this was by far one of the better evenings I’ve had this year. I’m truly priviledged to be blessed with such friends/mentors. Cheers to 3 years of friendship (oboe-playing, reed-making and whatnots) and many more years to come!
In fact, the last time we had a gathering like this was…
after a fantastic reed lesson with Gordon Hunt, who came all the way from London to perform the Strauss concerto with the SSO.
He’s really such a nice guy, buying us drinks after lesson, and a really good teacher too 🙂
I noticed that everytime oboe-players gather, a good deal of time would be spent discussing reeds. Wonder why. Perhaps it’s an Oboe thing 😉
